MINI SESSIONS OR FULL LENGTH PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS -

WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

You’re ready to book a photography session but you can’t decide if you want to schedule a mini session or a full length session.  Let me take a few moments to explain the benefits of each one.

A SLICE OR THE WHOLE PIE

When trying to decide if you want a mini session or a full length session, ask yourself if you want the whole pie or just a slice.  Mini sessions are the slice.  They are usually seasonal and consist of 10-15 minutes in a location selected by the photographer, and may or may not include props representing a specific theme.  Posing options are limited and the number of images delivered are also limited.  Full length sessions are the whole pie.  They include up to an hour of shooting time and are held at a location selected by the client.  The photographer also has the freedom to move around to different areas of the location to provide numerous backdrops and infinite posing options.  The client usually receives all of the edited images in an online gallery and the number of images is substantially more than what is provided with a mini session.

One of the advantages to a mini session is they provide the perfect opportunity for families with little ones to capture those memorable milestone sessions without worrying about the child losing interest before the session is over.  They are perfect for the busy family looking for a quick update.  Extended family photo sessions are best suited for a full length photo shoot.  A full-length session allows for family connections to unfold naturally. There is time for laughter, inside jokes, and shared memories to surface, resulting in more relaxed, candid, genuine smiles.  Before any of my extended family sessions, I provide my clients with a questionnaire to get to know each member of the family more personally.  By reviewing this questionnaire I can create an experience to suit each family's unique dynamics and preferences, ensuring that the client’s final images truly reflect who they are.

A FULL EXPERIENCE OR JUST A TASTE

Now hopefully with this information you can decide if you’re ready for the full pie experience or just a taste!  If convenience and affordability are a high priority, then mini sessions may be a good fit for you and your family.  If you are a larger family and decide you are ready to make a larger investment of both time and money, a full length photography session may be right for you.  Either way, I would love to be a part of creating some timeless memories for you and your family!

I hope this was helpful in helping you decide which type of session is right for you.  Whatever decision you make, I invite you to visit my booking page here and get the booking process started.
